Established in 2004, APSL is an association open to all Sri Lankans in the UK, irrespective of their ethnicity, creed or political affiliation. Why Join?

We are really pleased that you are considering becoming an APSL member. Here are the benefits of membership, and the criteria below will help you to decide whether APSL membership is for you. Engage with a wide-ranging community of Sri Lankans irrespective of ethnic, religious, educational, or professional background
Network and socialise with fellow Sri Lankan professionals sharing knowledge, expertise and friendship for mutual benefit
Join talks, seminars and events across a wide range of educational, professional, social or cultural interests
Contribute towards relief and development activities in Sri Lanka
Receive regular updates via membership emails, Newsletters and social media
Offer or receive coaching and mentoring support

Criteria

Membership is open to anyone of Sri Lankan origin belonging to one of the following categories:

Employed in any field with relevant practical/professional experience, OR
A member of a recognised professional body, or undergoing training for membership in a professional body, OR
Willing to share their professional expertise and experience to support our aims, OR
Studying in a recognised university or institution of higher education

Fees

A one-off joining fee of £25 is applicable to all new members joining after 1/5/2021. Student members are exempt form paying a joining fee.
Life membership (one-off payment) is £150.
APSL is a charitable voluntary organisation and depends on generosity of members to maintain ongoing projects in Sri Lanka. Members have an opportunity to choose a project they wish to support financially through their membership subscription fee or let it be a general contribution to APSL.
Existing ordinary members who joined before 1/5/2021 are required to pay an annual membership subscription fee of £15, unless they are already contributing regularly to an APSL project, in which case they will be exempt from paying the annual subscription fee.
Once a new membership application is submitted (online) and approved, the APSL Membership Secretary will welcome them and connect them to a Project Lead (if applicable).
