APSL UK Emergency Appeal Support for Flood-affected Communities in Sri Lanka.
Dear all,
We are reaching out to you in this critical time of need. As you know, Sri Lanka is currently grappling with severe weather conditions that are causing immense hardship for many families and communities across the country. Our loved ones back home are enduring an incredibly difficult situation.
Today, on November 28, 2025, APSL took immediate action to assist the affected children in Sri Lanka, prioritizing their urgent needs. We have allocated One Million Sri Lankan Rupees (Rs. 1m) from our reserve funds to provide emergency relief items in partnership with Sarvodaya Sri Lanka, who is already mobilizing efforts on the ground. Distributions are expected to reach the most vulnerable children as early as tomorrow, November 29. This is just the first step in our swift response to the ongoing devastation.
In collaboration with Sarvodaya and other trusted partners, we are expanding our efforts to support those in need. To maximize our impact and extend our reach to more families, we kindly ask for the support of our members, friends, families, and the wider community of Sri Lanka's supporters. Every contribution—large or small—will make a difference in providing immediate, medium-term, and long-term assistance to those affected.

We sincerely hope that this devastating situation in Sri Lanka improves soon. Until then, we believe it is our collective responsibility to stand by our communities back home and provide whatever support we can, until larger-scale assistance from government and international organisations reaches them.
Thank you very much for your continued support for APSL over the years. We truly appreciate your kindness and generosity, and we hope you will join hands with us once again to support our communities in Sri Lanka during this critical time.
